In the end, the shots are falling for The Dallas Mavericks in their tournament with the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals.

The Mavericks posted 20 three-pointers Tuesday night in Dallas, avoiding a 119-109 win in Game 4 and returning the best seven teams in San Francisco with Golden State holds a 3-1 lead.

To the The series’ first three games, Dallas shot a combined 32.6% from that side of the arc, allowing Golden State to take a 3-0 lead. But on Tuesday night at the American Airlines Center, Dallas came out with the heat, attempting 11 of 23 three-pointers in the first half and taking a 15-point lead at half-time.

“Everyone in that locker room felt like we had more basketball to play,” Dorian Finney-Smith said in front of Dallas. “We just want to have the win in every way. … It feels like we came out with a lot of confidence in that first half.”

Dallas was led by Luka Doncic, who, although not very good from the floor, poured in 30 points, 14 rebounds, and nine assists on the night.

The Mavericks led by 29-points in the fourth quarter before allowing the Golden State team to cut the lead to 8 with just 3 minutes to play in the fourth quarter.

A dunk by Doncic and a shot by Jonathan Kuminga ended the threat.

“We just decided to see if we could pull off a miracle, but it wasn’t expected,” coach Steve Kerr said. “Dallas is good tonight. They have to win. This is the end of the conference. That’s the way it feels.”

Reggie Bullock made 6 of his three tries, finishing the night with 23 points, and Finney-Smith added 23 points and 6 rebounds to avoid a sweep.

“It was almost like winning a prize (for Dallas). You came out and you had nothing to lose. So that confidence started first,” said Stephen Curry of Golden State. “And we didn’t do anything to delay it, then that’s when the ditch would start.

Game 5 will begin at 9 pm ET at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California.
