Matt Lauer and Annette Roque team up for East Hampton’s daughter’s high school graduation

Disgraced Today Matt Lauer and his ex-wife, model Annette Roque, met their daughter’s high school graduation this weekend in Hamptons.

The former couple was proud to see their 18-year-old daughter, Romy, receive a diploma on Sunday at an opening ceremony in East Hampton.

Photographers Lauer, 64, and Roque, 55, shared a smile as they greeted each other at the event. It is unclear whether they sat together at the ceremony.

Roque, wearing an ivory lace dress, brought a bouquet of flowers to the ceremony, allegedly for Romy.

Lauer’s proud father was seen standing in the crowd, apparently taking pictures of Romy as he walked across the stage. Later, he walked through the ceremony with the phone in his hand, wearing a gray suit and a white baseball cap.

Lauer and Roque divorced in 2019 after 21 years of marriage. Their separation came in 2017 after he was fired from NBC in 2017 for being the highest-paid TV presenter in the country, earning $ 25 million a year after allegations of sexual harassment in the workplace.

The couple has three children: daughter Romy and Jack (21) and Thijs, 15.

We know very little about Romy’s graduate plans, as Lauer and Roque have managed to keep their children out of the public spotlight.

Romy, however, has followed in his mother’s footsteps and created a passion for horseback riding.

Her TikTok public account has clips of her practicing tricks, caring for horses, and participating in horse competitions.

The teenager, like many of his peers, also uses the account to share viral ‘TikTok dances’ and document the events of his life. It had more than 28,000 followers on the platform.

Lauer and Roque seem to be supporters of Romy and have both previously seen him cheer on horse shows.

The former TV character and his longtime friend Shamin Abas also took Romy out to town last night for a night to celebrate his 18th birthday.

Lauer was released from NBC in 2017 amid numerous allegations of sexual harassment, including journalist Ronan Farrow and former presenter of Katie Couric Today Show.

In Farrow’s 2019 novel Catch and Kill: Lies, Spies, and a Conspiracy to Protect Predators, former NBC producer Brooke Nevils accused Lau of sexually assaulting her at the 2014 Sochi Olympics.

Lauer responded to the indictment by saying, “There was nothing aggressive in that encounter. Brook didn’t do or say anything to oppose it.”

He was also accused of giving a woman a sex toy and an explicit note telling her how he wanted to use it. He was also accused of showing his penis to another woman in his office and playing ‘f ***, get married or killed’ in the office.

Other anonymous women reportedly complained to NBC about Lauer’s sexual misconduct, and one said she was called to her office in 2001 for sex. Sometimes she would ask women producers about who they slept with, supposedly.

Lauer’s offices were also reported to be equipped with a button on the door to close the door.

In her Going There story, former host Katie Couric Today admitted that she heard “whispers” about her longtime colleague. Couric and Lauer appear together in 2017

In the Going There narrative, Couric admitted that he “heard whispers” about his longtime colleague.

He told an unnamed producer that Lauer had told him to come to the now-famous office wearing an “easy-to-remove skirt”.

He also wrote that Lauer complained that he felt uncomfortable when he wrapped his arm around a female colleague to comfort her when she cried, fearing that she might later face accusations of inappropriate behavior.

Even before making these allegations, Couric said her former anchor Lauer told her that she believed feminist movements like The Me Too were becoming too powerful.

“This MeToo thing seems to be getting out of control,” Lauer told Couric. “It feels like a witch hunt.”

He added that Lauer is “concerned about the lack of necessary processes, the destruction of people’s livelihoods and fame.”

Couric told Laueri to stop wrapping his arm around the women because it was making them uncomfortable, he wrote.

He said he tried to “imagine a scene like this happening” and told Laueri “he can’t do that, you can’t wrap your arms around him.”
