Cao Cao and his teammate Yang Jiang led 12 men to the final of the men’s 10-meter high diving competition on Saturday.
Cao scored a total of 513.70 points in six dives. Yang was second at 480.85. The Chinese were the most difficult in the semi-finals.
Cao already owns the Olympic medals with a 10-meter platform synchro, a separate 3-meter stool, and a 3-meter stool synchro.
Russia’s Dimitry Sautin was the first man to win medals at all four Olympic diving events.
2012 bronze medalist Tom Daley of the UK advanced to the final in 4th place late Saturday.
