LA Rams snaps a 3-game skid and rolls over Jackson Building 37-7

Coup Parkup, Van Jefferson and Odell Beckham Jr. caught a touchdown pass from Matthew Stafford, and the Los Angeles Rams defeated Jacksonville Jaguars 37-7 on Sunday for three consecutive games.

Stafford passed 295 yards and Sony Michel rushed to the Rams (8-4) score with 121 yards. Rams rebounded from November, when he had no victory, with a solid all-round effort against his struggling opponent. Kup saw the 100th notable season out of eight 129-yard catches.

Stafford also returned to shape by playing football without turnovers after giving the ball six times during a three-game skid that could upset Rams’ playoff plans. Los Angeles has never lost four straight games in Sean McVay’s 50-year mission.

Rookie Trevor Lawrence passed 145 yards for the Jaguars (2-10), who lost four games in a row.

Jacksonville flipped the ball twice and struggled to make something offensive to the LA star-studded defense, managing only a total of 197 yards. This defeat means that Urban Meyer will lose at least twice as many games as he has ever won in any of the 17 seasons as a college-level head coach in the rookie NFL season.

Jalen Ramsey made three tackles and regained his fumble on the opening drive with the Rams’ previous team. Rams comfortably won what seems to be the most difficult game left on a tight schedule. Los Angeles needs to travel to Arizona, Baltimore and Minnesota at home with two NFC West matches.

Michelle was a Rams feature back in which Darrell Henderson wore a uniform, but was clearly unavailable due to a thigh injury. He capped Rams’ only TD drive in the first half with a five-yard run. Michelle finished Rams’ first 100-yard rush performance throughout the season.

Jacksonville’s defense hung throughout the first half, preventing Rams from converting a 6/3 down and letting LA Matt Gay kick three field goals.

Rams’ defense dominated Lawrence’s attack in the first half, with the exception of a 73-yard scoring drive that culminated in Carlos Hyde’s 1-yard TD run.

After halftime, Rams took control with two long touchdown drives capped by Kup’s 29-yard TD grab and Jefferson’s two-yard scoring catch behind the end zone.

Kup’s eighth reception was the 100th of the season, alongside Isaac Bruce and Toryholt as the only Rams receivers to reach the milestone. Bruce set a franchise record in 1995 with 119 catches.

Starry debut

The Rams’ two valuable during-season acquisitions finally began playing at SoFi Stadium for the first time, both of which contributed to the victory.

Beckham had a reception early 27 yards and fought Nevin Lawson with a jump ball before grabbing a 1-yard TD at the beginning of the fourth quarter.

Linebacker Von Miller had only one tackle to lose, but he was active in drawing blockers while the Rams’ Pass Rush made Lawrence uncomfortable all day long.

Brian Allen, the center of Rams, injured his knee on the first snap from the line of scrimmage and never returned. Coleman Shelton took over. … Rams left the guard and David Edwards injured his leg in the second half of the opening drive, but eventually returned. … Jaguar C-Brandon Linder injured his back. … Jags rookie CB Tyson Campbell suffered an abdominal injury in the third quarter.

Jaguars: Next Sunday in Tennessee.

Rams: In Arizona for the match on Monday night, December 13th.
