Celebrity sisters Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian criticized Instagram on Monday, calling on the app to stop imitating rival TikTok.

To their hundreds of millions of Instagram followers, Jenner and Kardashian posted a message that read: “Make Instagram Instagram again.”

“Strop is trying to be tiktok, I just want to see cute pictures of my friends,” the post read.

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, which owns Facebook and Instagram, is promoting short videos, a market TikTok dominates on mobile.

Jenner and Kardashian are very influential on social media. In 2018, Jenner denounced the redesign of Instagram rival Snapchat, which sent shares of Snap’s parent company down 7 percent.

Meta shares were relatively flat in after-hours trading.

Instagram did not immediately respond to CNBC’s request for comment.
