Justin Turner hit three eight-yard touchdown passes for the Los Angeles Dodgers and finished with four touchdowns and four RBIs in an 11-1 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday night.
The Dodgers have not hit eight doubles in the game since moving to Los Angeles from Brooklyn in 1958. They have nine franchise records.
Turner’s first time in deep center was recorded in the first two runs, and it was the only run Tony Gonsolin and the Dodgers bullpen needed. The first run was shot back-to-back doubles by Freddie Freeman and Trea Turner.

Gonsolin (3-0) conceded one strike in five innings and had five strikeouts in four runs. The Dodgers are starting the cup 16-3 with a 1.83 ERA through 28 games this season.
Gonsolin is combined with four rest boxes on a four -key.
Edwin Rios had three hits and three RBIs while returning two straight games. Trea Turner and Gavin Lux gave up two hits each as the NL West-leading Dodgers had 15.
Bryse Wilson (0-2) was batted for six runs and eight hits in 2 2/3 innings, needed 70 pitches to get eight. He struck four and went alone.
Wilson was sent off during the third inning five to improve the Dodgers’ lead to 7-0. Justin Turner hit two runs and Rios scored one, then Austin Barnes ended the rage with a double.
Rios’ second-run homer ended the seventh of the four runs against Beau Sulser who went 11-0 and gave the Dodgers their 24th win in their last 27 games against the Pirates. .
The Pirates lost for the ninth time in 13 games. They avoided substitution when Yoshi Tsutsugo scored an RBI infield in the eighth.
Pirates infielder/outfielder Cole Tucker decided to leave the transfer and hit only from the left. He started the transition Monday when he struck as a pinch-hitter against left-hander Julio Urias in the Pirates’ win over the Dodgers.
Tucker is 1 of 14 against leftists this season.
“I want to give myself the best chance I can get right now that I think I’m left -handed,” Tucker said. “The game will tell me and show me if it’s right or wrong.
Henry Davis won his first game with Double-A Altoona. The first selection last year from High-A Greensboro was announced on Monday.
