Joe and Jill arrive cross-armed for a royal reception with Queen, Kate, William, Charles and Camilla

President Joe Biden and Jill Biden joined the Queen and other senior members of the royal family on Friday night for a gorgeous party for G7 leaders.

The first couple arrived with their arms crossed. I took off the tie between the president in a dark suit and the first lady in a trench coat over a dark dress.

The boldly named reception, hosted by the 95-year-old monarch, was held at the Eden Project, a lush dome-shaped ecotourism site built on a former quarry. It features several huge domes that house what is called the “largest rainforest in captivity” on the project’s website.

Bidens spoke to the Queen at the reception line. The rally looked cheerful with both the members of the first couple and the monarch laughing widely.

According to the White House, Biden had previously met the Queen in 1982.

Prince Charles, Duchess of Cornwall, Prince William and Kate, and Duchess of Cambridge joined the G7 leaders at the reception Charles spoke at the event.

The leaders also joined the queen for family photos. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson took the Queen to a photo session with French President Emmanuel Macron. Biden came with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

The leaders were properly separated from each other and socially distanced for the photo while the photo was being taken. Biden was a few seats below the monarch.

Earlier that day, Jill Biden, who was attending an event with Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, was asked if she would seek advice from the Duchess about meeting the Queen.

Bidens will win a personal audience with the Queen, including tea, on Sunday.

“No, I didn’t,” she replied. “We are busy. Were you not in the room? We were talking about education.”

Boris Johnson and his new wife Carrie Johnson wear a soothing black floral dress to the Royals, as opposed to the fuchsia pink number she wore to meet the leader on Friday. I was seen greeting.

Kate cut her elegant look in a middle-length cream gown, and Camilla chose a long-sleeved black and white dress. The queen matched the theme of the gardening at the venue with a dress patterned with flowers.

Bidens and other leaders walked under the leaf-covered arch for dinner.

The event menu was created by Emily Scott, chef at the Watergate Bay Hotel in Newquay, and includes a main course Cornish Turbot and new potatoes, as well as local cheese.

Then, alongside Prince Charles and Prince William, a reception will be held for leaders and executives of the world’s largest companies to discuss how the private sector can work with the government to tackle climate change.

The Royals are at the heart of Britain’s diplomatic mission to plead for the United States as Johnson promotes a swift free trade agreement with Biden and a quarantine-free travel corridor this summer.

Other leaders participated in the festival theme.
