London (Reuters) – Rappers Getz, Little Simz and Dave have won the MOBO Awards in the UK this year and are back with their first live show in four years.

Held on Sunday night in Coventry, England, MOBO saw London-born Dave Scoop Album of the Year’s No. 1 record, “We’re All Alone In This Together,” in honor of the Music of Black Origins.

Getz won the best male acting and Little Simz did the best female acting. Tion Wayne and Russ Millions won the song of the year on the remix “Body”, and rapper Central Cee won the best rookie and the best drill act.

Other winners include Skepta, who has the best grime act, and the television show that played Franklin’s role in the show “Small Ax,” which featured stories about West Indian immigrants in London in the 1960s and 1980s. Includes actor Michael Ward, who performed best in the movie.

The annual MOBO, which began in 1996, went into hibernation in 2017 and was virtually held last year for the COVID-19 pandemic.
