San Antonio – The 10th Annual Park Toberfest will be held this weekend at Brackenridge Park.
Parktoberfest celebrates San Antonio’s German heritage with music from Beethoven Mennerchor and the Dirty River Jazz Band.
Local artists showcase their work, with free craft beer samples and food and drinks available from Paleteria San Antonio, Hüftgold FoodTruck, JuJuice Juicery and more.
The free event will take place at the Koehler Pavilion from 2pm to 5pm after Cyclovia.
Parktoberfest celebrates Emma Coller’s legacy of donating 11 acres of land to the city of San Antonio in honor of her husband, Otto Koehler, who owned the Pearl Brewery Association.
The donation allowed the sale of alcoholic beverages on the west side of the San Antonio River and celebrated Koehler’s beer garden, according to a person familiar with the Breakenridge Park Conservancy, which hosts the Parktoberfest.
