Brussels (Reuters) – Facebook has provided a remedy to ensure EU antitrust approval for the acquisition of US customer service startup Kustomer, European Commission filings said.
Facebook (now Meta Platforms) submitted the package on Wednesday.
EU competitors who did not provide details of policy-based remedies extended the decision deadline to January 28. You are expected to seek feedback from rivals and customers before deciding whether to accept or request more suggestions.
The Commission previously said the deal could hurt competition and strengthen the power of US social media companies in online advertising.
Facebook has received unconditional approval from UK and Australian regulators for this transaction.
