Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said Monday that he would provide users with reliable information about the Covid-19 vaccine being developed by a social media company.

Facebook has already contacted the upcoming Biden administration to help respond to the Covid-19 pandemic, Zuckerberg said.

“There will be some important things we can do together,” he said. “We are already planning to disseminate reliable information about vaccines.”

Zuckerberg did not provide additional information on how the company distributes this information to users. The company also added nothing when asked to comment.

Zuckerberg in May said social media companies shouldn’t be true arbitrators, but Facebook actually provided accurate information throughout 2020 and took many steps to uncover myths and falsehoods. I came.

In March, the company launched the Covid-19 Information Hub. In August, the company did the same for the 2020 US elections with a voting information hub, and in September Facebook announced that it would launch a hub with information on climate change.

The company also announced a new policy in September to limit the spread of health advice groups, and in October a new policy banning ads that discourage people from vaccination.
