London (Reuters) – UK BT has acquired millions of pounds in Silicon Valley cyber risk management firm Safe Security, highlighting its ambitions to target sector growth, a person familiar with the situation told Reuters Told.

BT has made its first major investment in cybersecurity since 2006, allowing businesses and governments to measure and mitigate cyberrisk in real time by aggregating signals from people, processes and technologies. Become the largest investor in the latest financing of safe security to help you.

The SAFE platform then quantifies the risk as a score and a dollar value.

Former Chairman and CEO of Cisco John Chambers has invested $ 14 million in Series A funding with senior executives at SoftBank, Sequoia, PayPal, Adobe and McKinsey & Co.

Sources said the latest round was more than twice as valuable as Series A.
