Jean Smart, who brought home an Emmy for his Frazier work that year, became a professional actress on the red carpet. Jean wore a gray pinstripes suit with a silk shell underneath. She also fastened red, white, and blue ribbons to her collar to honor the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, which occurred just two months ago.
Nancy O’Dell demonstrated her patriotism in a white sequined T-shirt that combines the American flag with a black blazer and tailored trousers. That year, the Emmy Awards were rescheduled twice. The original date, September 16, 2001, was shortly after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and the second proposed date, October 7, 2001, was the day the war began in Afghanistan.
“Frazier” star Jane Leeves wore a jacket made of the same fabric as a shiny gold dress covered with white flowers.
Patricia Heaton, who won an Emmy Award for “Everybody Loves Raymond” that year, received the trophy in a silky brown dress with a twist on the midriff. She paired brown shoes and a gorgeous necklace to match a tea-length dress.
Kim Cattrall was a little more conservative than her on-screen alter ego, Samantha Jones, who won an Emmy Award for “Sex and the City” that year. Kim wore a very shirred, slightly pale black dress that fell on her lap and combined it with the heels of an open-toed kitten.
Edie Falco was all smiling the night he received the highest honor for playing as the wife of a mob in The Sopranos. Like many on the red carpet that night, Eddie kept it conservative with a blazer and black dress pants.
Allison Janney, the star of The West Wing, brought home an Emmy statuette in a black knee-length dress with pink and white lilies all over. She peeked into the flock and paired it with a peep toe heel, a black satin wrap, and a patriotic red, white, and blue ribbon.
Sean Robinson chose the super-popular conservative look that women loved on the red carpet of the year. She arrived in a blazer that matched her skirt, minimizing accessories.
Calista Flockhart looked more ready for a night out of town than the Emmy Awards when she wore a white peasant blouse paired with a champagne-colored high-low-fit skirt.
Kristin Davis sought the most playful look at the 2001 Emmy Awards. The “Sex and the City” star wore a black off-shoulder dress with black high heels and playful curly hair.
Both Holly Hunter and Sally Field showed their shoulders in 2001. That year, an Emmy-nominated companion (two Holly and one Sally won!) Wore Sally and walked hand in hand on the red carpet. Holly in a light black one-shoulder dress with an eggplant off-shoulder top with a sequined skirt and purse that matches a thin satin ribbon as a belt, and clunky black shoes.
The Joan Rivers and Melissa Rivers have brought glitz to their favorite place, the red carpet. Joan wore an off-shoulder silver dress with a deep scoop neck, but Melissa chose a more casual look. A black tank top with glittering straps and low-rise wide-legged black sequin trousers.
Nominee Marg Helgenberger chose a classic black slip-style gown when he was honored for his role in the CSI: Crime Investigation Team. The thin fabric and knee high slits in the gown add a sense.

Carla Gallo wore a dress in 2021 that worked as easily as in 2001. The actress chose a gorgeous blue tank-style dress with thin straps and a scalloped bust line. The only thing that ages her appearance is their round toe heels and the boring black bag.
When Rachel Griffiths saw the 2001 Emmy Awards, it looked a bit quirky. The Australian actress wore a half-off-shoulder LBD in pantyhose. One element we loved? Black heels with her straps.
Janel Moloney wore a gorgeous dark dress for the 2001 Emmy Awards. “West Wing” actress Flock had teardrop cutouts along the chest and glittering lace decorations along the hem.
Maura Tierney, who was nominated for an “ER” job in 2001, was preparing for a meeting in the conference room while walking on the Emmy Red Carpet, but was a little playful. The actress wore an oversized black suit with a red half-buttoned blouse underneath, combining large gold earrings with red lipstick and appearance.
Mary Tyler Moore was all smiling at her long-sleeved LBD at the 2001 Emmy Awards. The actress jazzed her look with a giant glittering dragonfly brooch on her shoulders and copper shoes that looked like ballet shoes with heels.
Sela Ward looked beautiful with a glamorous separate night when she was nominated for the Were Soldiers work. Serra paired black satin trousers with a large ribbon as a belt with a black V-neck blouse, a long, glittering necklace and glittering heel sandals. It looks simple, but it’s still full of elegance.
