Drake Patek Philippe Ellipse

This version of Ellipse is so unique that some thought Drake’s new work was a custom job. However, this piece was shipped from the factory almost like this (the mesh bracelet may be new, but it’s a small tweak). Reference 3609 / 1G is a white gold oval with diamond hour markers and 36 diamonds set on a blind bezel. The ellipse is a welcome sight for the seemingly endless new green dial Nautilus march, also owned by Drake. “It brought a smile to my face,” John Riadon, founder of Patek Marketplace Collectability, told me. “Finally, the ellipse is getting some love!” But you can’t escape Nautilus completely. The special thing about this particular ellipse is that it uses the same auto-movement as the original Nautilus.

Tom Holland Rolex Submariner “Thermit”

Spiderman Star Holland has webbed Rolex’s new Ceramic Green Bezel Submariner, one of the biggest releases since last year. The shade used for the crown logo, green, is an important color in the submariner line. In 2003, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Submariner, Rolex released a black dial sub with a green aluminum bezel called Kermit. The watch was shuffled for the “Hulk” Submariner in 2010. In 2020, Rolex created another green bezel black dial submariner. The watch was nicknamed “Cermit” because the bezel is made of ceramic.
