DMX died on April 9, a week after being taken to the hospital after a heart attack at home that could be due to an overdose. He was in a “vegetative state with lung and brain damage” and was put to life support.

On Wednesday, doctors ran a barrage of brain activity tests, and the results were “not good.” Hours before he died, his “organs were reported to be dead in minutes.” His liver and kidneys shut down on Friday morning. This is a sign of the end of life. Friends and family were reportedly told to fly immediately to be with DMX in his last moment.
