Cowboys run back to Tony Pollard ready for expanded role in 2021

Oxnard, California – The Cowboys, who carry Tony Pollard, say they reported to Oxnard’s training camp for £ 210, but expect it to reach £ 215 in due course.

It may be harder than he thinks.

Cowboys attack coordinator Kellen Moore plans to use Polard as a receiver this season.

“I’ve almost stopped running games,” Polard said. “Now it’s important to take the game to the next level and expand its role.”

The expansion also includes time with special teams. There, first-year coordinator John Fassel plans to use Polard as a kick-returner.

“I think that’s what we’re starting to see. CeeDee puts a lot of strain on the attack as a receiver and brings back a lot of people there.”

Lamb had considerable success in the rookie year, even without Dak Prescott at the center for most of the season. This year, Dallas moved CeeDee from the slot to an external receiver, and Amari Cooper recovered from off-season ankle surgery.

Polard saw more action outside the backfield last year. He carried the ball 101 times at 435 yards, but added 28 catches at 193 yards. That number has increased since the rookie season when he had 15 receptions at 107 yards. With that in mind, Polard could touch the ground more to help Ezekiel Elliott recover from the worst season in the NFL and rejuvenate Dallas’ former dominant running game. ..

There are a lot of what-ifs this year. Polard believes that the best way to move forward is to focus on internal improvements.

“I feel our greatest enemy is us. Who knows unless we defeat ourselves?”
