Contrary to all possibilities, Bosnian handicapped teen gymnasts are excellent | World

According to UNICEF, the United Nations Children’s Fund, “Children with disabilities and their families are still facing discrimination, their rights are not fully met and access to basic services is restricted. In a country that says, it wasn’t a small feat.

“It was unusual at first. It’s a new experience for me, so I’m not saying it’s difficult, but it’s just unusual. When we got to know each other, we were learning from each other.” Lepic-Milavic recalled.

It didn’t take long for Sara to notice that she was different, she added.

So far, Sarah has brought back medals from several national and international rhythmic gymnastics tournaments, but she considers it just the beginning.

“I thought it would be difficult, but if you practice hard and do your best, it will be easier,” said the shy, confident smile and full of eyes.

“My ultimate goal is to compete in the world championships and the Olympics and compete with the best (rhythmic gymnastics) gymnasts in the world,” she added with determination.

Lepic-Milavic said he trusts young disciples who have already proven to be able to realize their dreams. She is not sure if Sarah will be able to get the support she deserves in Bosnia.
