Chris Rock has yet to speak publicly at Will Smith’s 94th Academy Awards on Sunday. Fans are focused on an option that can be changed on Wednesday night.

Rock will offer two performances at the Wilbur Theater in Boston, and expectations are that second-hand market ticket sales have risen, with resale of social media posts and websites.

StubHub, a ticketing and reselling company, said that in the days following the Oscars, the daily sales of Rock shows were 25 times higher, surpassing the cumulative sales of the comic tour throughout March.

“At this stage of his tour, on an average day, we expect to see an increase in sales as the last hour sales enter the 24 or 48 hours before a show date, but it’s a very rare point we’ve experienced,” said Mike Silveira of StubHub in a statement to CNBC.

The jump in sales was first reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

More than a dozen tickets to Rock’s Wednesday shows are on sale on StubHub, priced from $ 444 to $ 1,705. To be sure, prices are asking; it is not clear whether anyone will buy seats at these levels.

Users reported on social media that ticket prices have risen from less than $ 40 to price tags that triple the figure from before the incident to after the clash.

TickPick said the ticket market said it sold more tickets to see Rocka on Monday after the slap in the face than last month.

TickPick currently has three tickets available for the 7:30 show and four for sale at 10:00. Prices range from $ 800 to $ 1,100 each.

Ticketmaster’s website says the 19:30 and 22:00 shows are sold out. Meanwhile, Vivid Seats currently has four tickets to the 22:00 show, two for $ 768 and two for $ 966.
