Ottawa (Reuters) -Canada officially excluded Boeing from billions of contracts to supply 88 new fighters, the federal government said Wednesday, but did not give a direct explanation.
This decision means that only Lockheed Martin Corporation and Saab AB of Sweden remain in the race. Ottawa says it intends to make a decision next year on a deal worth up to C $ 19 billion ($ 14.8 billion).
Reuters, citing defense sources, reported a decision to ban Boeing on November 25.
