Britney Spears’ ex is accused of harassing her at her wedding

VENTURA, CA. – A man who was once briefly married to Britney Spears was accused of persecution on Monday after appearing at the pop star’s wedding to longtime boyfriend Sam Asgari.

Jason Alexander has also been charged with trespassing, vandalism and killing, according to Ventura County court records. He has not yet pleaded guilty and was due to appear in court on Monday afternoon.

Alexander was Spears’ first husband. The couple were married for less than three days in 2004 before being annulled.

Spears, 40, and Asgari, 28, were married Thursday at her home in Thousand Oaks, California, in front of dozens of guests, including Selena Gomez, Drew Barrymore, Paris Hilton and Madonna.

Spears and Asgari received an urgent defense order against him the day after the wedding, said Spears’ lawyer Matthew Rosengart.

Alexander, a childhood friend of Spears, was live on Instagram as he approached the house. He appeared in an almost empty but decorated room, telling security that Spears had invited him.

Deputies who responded to the intrusion call detained him and he was arrested when they learned he had an arrest warrant in another county, the Ventura County Sheriff said.

It was unclear whether Alexander still hired a lawyer on Monday.

Spears was previously married from 2004 to 2007 to Kevin Federline, with whom she shared two sons aged 14 and 15.

She met Asgari in 2016 on the set of the video for her song “Slumber Party”.

Their wedding came nine months after Spears and Asgari got engaged, and almost seven months after Spears won her freedom from a court quaestor who has controlled her life and affairs for more than 12 years.

Spears posted about the wedding on her Instagram and Twitter accounts the next day.

“Come on !!! Holy nonsense !!! WE SUCCESSFUL !!! WE GOT MARRIED !!! Ggggggeeeeezzzzz !!! It was the most spectacular day !!!” Spears said in the publications along with a photo of her and Asgari from the wedding. “The ceremony was a dream and the party was even better !!!”
