Sao Paulo (Reuters) -Brazilian telecommunications regulator Anatel is planning a 5th generation (5G) mobile spectrum auction on November 4, Fabio Faria said on Twitter.
Telecommunications regulator Anatel suspended analysis of auction rules on September 13 and made a decision at an extraordinary meeting on Friday, the minister said.
Last week, Faria said that by the end of the year, 5G networks would be operational in São Paulo and other major Brazilian cities, and all state capitals would have access to this technology by July 2022. ..
The 5G auction will be the largest spectral auction ever managed by Anatel. The Brazilian government expects businesses to pay up to R $ 45 billion ($ 8.5 billion) for operating licenses on four different frequencies auctioned.
