Nashville, Tennessee (AP) — Americana singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile’s new blonde rock is a homage to David Bowie, suggesting how her new music sounds.
A six-time Grammy award winner, she boasts a Bowie-inspired look in the first music video for her sixth album, In This Silent Days, to be released on October 1.
In a statement that released a new record on Wednesday, Carlyl said he was inspired to write while in isolation during a pandemic with bandmates Tim and Phil Hanseloth.
Breaking with the acclaimed 2018 album By the Way, I Forgive You, Carlyl was influenced by Bowie, Freddie Mercury, and her two close musical friends, Elton John and Joni Mitchell.
Carlyl’s new music video, directed by “Friends” actress Courteney Cox, is called “Right On Time.”
