London (Reuters) – US companies Blackstone and Hudson Pacific Properties plan to build a major film, television and digital production complex in Blocksborn, northern London, with the first overseas expansion of the Sunset Studio platform. Said.
The funds managed by the two companies said on Sunday that they had acquired 91 acres of land 17 miles from central London for £ 120m, with a total investment of more than £ 700m ($ 975m). Added.
Subject to building permits, they said they would build a world-class film and television studio campus and create more than 4,500 permanent jobs.
Investment company Blackstone was the Hollywood media of real estate firm Hudson Pacific, which consists of 35 sound stages and offices, including the facility where the hits “La La Land” and “Harry Met Sally” were made last year. I bought a 49% stake in my portfolio.
James Separa, Head of Real Estate Europe at Blackstone, said the partner intends to provide studio facilities that ensure that the UK remains the best producer.
