Big Tech Needs More Competition to “Diversify” Social Media: Congressman Back

Republican Rep. Kenbak attended Fox News Live on Sunday, suggesting that more competitors need to enter the Big Tech market. Buck opposed government oversight of private sectors, but noted that platform competitors could “diversify” the social media scene.

The answer is not to form some sort of government agency to oversee private sector and how to apply its rules. The answer is to make sure there is competition in the market, with 4 or 5 Facebook, 3 or 4 Google, and 5 or 6 Twitter companies.

And when we diversify our social media platforms, we will win more competition and more diversity and perspectives.
