The Biden administration has opened up a very heated debate on ghost guns when it comes to changing the definition of a gun under federal law. Standing in the courtyard of the Rose Garden, President Joe Biden announced a ban on unlicensed boxes used to make invisible weapons.

The new rule also includes a ban on so -called Buy Build Shoot kits, which people can buy online or in a store and assemble within 30 minutes. As a result, manufacturers will be required to include a serial number on each box and run a background check on the person prior to purchase.

Critics quickly dismissed the law, saying “the Constitution does not allow the federal government to prevent anyone from making their own guns.” While capturing the ghost guns, Biden shows how easy it is to gather one.

The move will also require licensed customers to keep records of sales until the end of their business, after which they will be required to report to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms. , and Explosives (ATF). Previously, customers were allowed to discard documents.

The NRA criticized Biden’s plan, saying it was “unrealistic” to drive the fight against crime until criminals were left behind bars. In the meantime, Biden defends the idea that it’s “too much to fix.”

In addition, supporters of the second amendment said weak and fragile Democrat policies were the cause of criminal misconduct, not guns. This comes when NYPD numbers find ghost guns make up a small percentage of all guns used for crime.
