Two seeded players lost in the opening round of the Sofia (Bulgaria) Open on the ATP Tour on Monday.

Italian Gianluca Mager confuses France’s sixth-seeded Adrian Manarino 6-3, 6-2, France’s Benoît Paire confuses Spain’s seventh-seeded Alejandro Davidovich. I knocked off Fokina 6-4 and 7-5.

Mager lost the first round of games in three of the last four tournaments, including the US Open. He saved the only breakpoint he faced against Manarino. After losing three games, which featured a defeat in the opening round in New York, Pale gained an ace 11-1 advantage over Davidovich Fokina.

In the only other match of the event on Monday, Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic beat Bulgarian wildcard participant Adrian Andreev 7-6 (7), 6-4.

San Diego Open

Brandon Nakashima from San Diego defeated Saab at the final point of the match and defeated Italy’s Fabio Fognini 6-7 (5), 6-1, 7-5 in the first round of his hometown event.

20-year-old Nakajima finished with eight ace and two double faults. Fognini double-faulted nine times and had only one ace.

Another San Diego High School product, 23-year-old Taylor Fritz, defeated Italy’s Salvatore Caruso 6-4, 7-6 (2). Elsewhere in the opening round, Russia’s Aslan Karatsev beat Argentina’s Federico Delbonis 6-1 and 7-5.
