A citywide “tactical alert” has been ordered in Los Angeles’ San Pedro neighborhood after two people were shot dead and at least five others were injured in a shooting on Sunday.

The shooting happened at Peck Park in San Pedro at around 3:51 p.m. in the 560 block of N. Western Avenue.

LA EMS officials initially said seven people were injured in the shooting.

An LA Fire Department official said at a press conference that two of those people later died of their injuries at local hospitals, according to CBS Los Angeles.
