Armani shows scars from broken arm in recent fall

Milan – Giorgio Armani told reporters on Monday that he spent two weeks in the hospital after breaking his arm in the fall when he came out of the cinema.

The 86-year-old Italian designer concludes Milan Fashion Week with a menswear show in the same building where he lives in the garden of his former atelier in central Milan.

After the runway show, he told reporters that he went to the movies 20 days ago. As soon as the cinema reopens after winter restrictions aimed at containing the virus.

Upon coming out, he said they were sitting on the stairs of the theater, but his bodyguard couldn’t stop him in time.

“I fell because I couldn’t find the step,” Armani said. “I have 17 needles,” he added, showing a long scar on his arm.

“I won’t tell you how painful it was,” he added.

Nevertheless, he was able to help prepare for the Menswear Show and the Armani Preve Couture collection, which will be screened in Paris later this month.

At the end of the show, Armani bowed to the arm of his longtime collaborator Leo Dellorco. He helped him down the stairs to the runway.

“If I’m a little uncertain, this is the reason,” he said behind the scenes.
