Amazon Web Services Outages: Disney +, Venmo Down

Washington — According to users, Amazon Web Services suffered a major outage on Tuesday. The company provides cloud computing services to individuals, universities, governments and businesses, including the Associated Press.

Amazon didn’t immediately provide many details about the outage, and reports continued to be streamed, so few details were available. People trying to use Instacart, Venmo, Kindle, Roku, and Disney + are reporting issues. The McDonald’s app is also down.

In a post an hour after the outage began, Amazon identified the root cause and said it was “actively working towards recovery.” At that time, the cause was not disclosed any further.

Doug Madley, director of Internet analytics at network intelligence company Kentic Inc, said the outage began in the morning on the east coast of the United States.

“AWS is the largest cloud provider and us-east-1 is the largest data center, so interruptions there can have a huge impact on many popular websites and other internet services,” Madory said. Says.
