After a flood in New Braunfels, the RV collapsed and one was taken downstream of the Guadalupe River.

A nighttime flood along the Guadalupe River lifted one of the resort’s RVs and carried it downstream, according to New Braunfels officials.

According to New Braunfels spokeswoman David Ferguson, the River Ranch RV Resort’s RV, located under Interstate Highway 35 near Highway 46, remained collapsed Thursday morning due to flooding.

He said no one was in the RV downstream at the time and no injuries were reported at the RV park.

After 4-6 inches of rain in parts of the San Antonio metropolitan area, other vehicles had to move to avoid river expansion. After that, the water retreated.

Ferguson said that at 6 am, a New Braunfels firefighter had answered four water-related calls, including an RV resort. He said the other three were minor and no one was injured.
