According to police, a 16-year-old boy was shot dead in a dwelling on the North East Side.

San Antonio – A 16-year-old boy was found deadly shot in a Northeast Side apartment complex, and San Antonio police are still looking for a shooter.

The shooting took place on Thursday at about 6 pm at Regatta Apartments, block 12000 on Scarsdale Drive.

SAPD cop Chris Ramos said they found a 16-year-old boy in an apartment with a gunshot wound on his chest when the cop arrived. According to police, he died from an injury.

When he was shot, a teenager was visiting another person in a dwelling.

Officials said others were in the apartment with the teens at the time of the shooting. According to police, everyone was taken to police headquarters and issued a statement.

Details are limited at this time, and SAPD’s murder unit is under investigation.
