Of all Fort Worth homeowners, 15.9% are under the age of 35. This is the fifth highest percentage of the largest cities in the United States, according to data from the United States Census Bureau’s 2019 American Community Survey.

That’s 28,672 of the 179,783 homeowners in the city landing in this young age group.

The survey defines large cities with a population of over 350,000, medium-sized cities with a population of 150,000 to 349,999, and small cities with a population of 100,000 to 149,999.

The only big cities above Fort Worth are:

  1. Aurora, Colorado (16.2%)
  2. Nashville, Tennessee-Davidson (16.5%)
  3. Denver (16.5%)
  4. Atlanta (17.5%)

Fort Worth was ranked 5th in the big cities, while Dallas was ranked 37th, with only 10.9% of all homeowners under the age of 35.

As of October 2021, the average price of a Fort Worth home was $ 310,000, according to a study by the Texas Real Estate Research Center at the University of Texas A & M. The media price in Dallas was higher, at $ 370,000.
