Texas law bans school-owned firearms
SAN ANTONIO – A woman was arrested on Wednesday for bringing a gun to the campus of the primary school.
The principal of the Highland Hills Elementary School in San Antonio, ISD, sent a letter to the parents informing them of the incident.
According to the letter, the parent visited the school while holding a concealed weapon. She was “immediately detained” and the weapon was secured.
Carrying firearms on school property is against state law.
According to a spokesman for the area, the woman faces charges of a 3rd degree felony for places where weapons are banned.
