Officers arrested Sabrina Honu on April 5 after a second interview after Phoenix’s death.

According to the arrest report, in an interview with detectives, Ho admitted that his girlfriend, 52-year-old Todd Lofton, knew that Sean had insulted his son. The report describes the child’s injuries as: crushed eyes, numerous scratches and bruises on the face, swelling in the neck, bruises all over the body, burns on the shoulders, puncture wounds and a number of other injuries.

Sabrina Ho told detectives that she hadn’t seen Shaw in months. And even though he had “plenty of time” to leave the show during the four weeks he allegedly insulted his son, he didn’t. According to the report, Ho also did not seek medical help for his son for fear of “getting into trouble”.

In the report, Ho admitted that he kept the second-grader out of school for three weeks to cover up the alleged abuse.

Ho told police that he was in the bedroom around 2pm on April 1 and called Shaw’s son into the hallway, saying something was wrong with him. He said the child was on the ground, had difficulty breathing and was dizzy.

Five hours later, Ho called 911.

He told detectives that during that time, he watched Shaw “choke as the victim’s breathing increased as he placed a box over the victim’s head.”

Paramedics found him unconscious in a house in the 1600 block of Phoenix E. McKinney Street. He was taken to hospital and died there.
