A man watching TV injured by a bullet fired at his home, police say

San Antonio A man in his 60s watching TV was injured in a bullet fired at his home on the Northeast Side, according to San Antonio police.

An officer was called in at around 4am to a house in the 4100 block of Alaschian Sunrise, not far from Mystic Sunrise Drive and Binz Engleman Road.

According to police, when the man heard the gunshot, he noticed that the gunshot was shot just by sitting in the living room and watching TV.

Police said the man thought the gunshot was from the backyard, so he grabbed the gun and blindly fired at the area in an attempt to drive the shooter away. Investigators found one shell casing in the man’s backyard.

The injured man was taken to the Brook Army Medical Center with a non-life-threatening injury on his shoulder. His name has not been published.

At this time, SAPD has not explained the potential suspects. The motive is currently unknown.
