A man was stabbed in the chest at a Southwestside truck stop, police say

San Antonio A man in his thirties was stabbed in the parking lot of a truck stop on the Southwest Side early Monday morning, according to San Antonio police.

The puncture wound occurred around 6:30 am on Interstate 35 and the Loves Truck Stop near Fisher Road.

According to police, when the suspect attacked him, the man was in the parking lot with the woman and stabbed him once in his chest.

According to police, the victim was likely to know the attacker and was talking to a man when the puncture wound occurred. According to police, the suspect was beaten and fled in a white car, perhaps a truck.

Victims were taken to a local hospital by a life-threatening injured ambulance. His name was not disclosed.

SAPD said he used a helicopter to search for the suspect but could not find the man. Authorities say no one but the woman saw anything, even though many were sleeping in the car.

The motive for the attack is currently unknown. Stab wound investigations are underway, police said.
