SAN ANTONIO – Bexar County MPs are looking for a man accused of deliberately crashing his car into the home of a family member after a heated argument.
The incident happened on Sunday, March 13, in a neighborhood in the remote West Bexar County.
A 911 caller told authorities he had an argument with Andrew Herrera Jr., 26, because he was selling tools that did not belong to him.
The caller claims that Herrera got angry, got in his car and drove him towards him, trying to hit him, according to BCSO.
Deputies said Herrera’s relative managed to jump off the road in time and was unharmed. However, Herrera’s car hit the family member’s car and his home. Authorities believe the crash caused damage to the home of about $ 4,000.
Herrera had already left the scene when lawmakers arrived.
After a brief search, lawmakers were able to track down Herrera in his car and pursue him. But the authorities lost sight of him and he managed to escape.
Herrera has been on the run ever since, and lawmakers are asking anyone with more information to contact the BCSO at 210-335-6000.
When he was arrested, Herrera was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
