A grocery store on the southwest side was destroyed in a fire, according to SAFD.

San Antonio – According to the San Antonio Fire Department, a grocery store on the southwestern side of the city was considered a total loss in an overnight fire.

The fire broke out at 1200 blocks on Keets Street around 1:27 am on Saturday.

Firefighters said they found Keets Express completely in flames upstairs when they arrived.

When the crew fought the flames, the second floor collapsed due to fire damage. According to the fire department, the first floor was also severely damaged.

Eventually, the firefighters were able to control the flames, but the building was completely lost.

When the fire broke out, no one was in the grocery store and no injuries were reported.

Arson is still investigating the cause of the fire.
