A disturbance in the Atlantic is still unlikely to develop

We continue to monitor another disturbance that is not yet likely to occur, along with other tropical systems in the Atlantic Basin.


What you need to know

  • There is a turbulence in the Central Tropical Atlantic
  • unlikely to develop symptoms in the next 5 days
  • Gradual development likely later this week

A disturbance well west of the Cape Verde Islands continues to produce disorganized showers and thunderstorms meandering through the central tropical Atlantic.

It doesn’t move much in the short term, but could slowly develop as it heads north and encounters slightly more favorable conditions towards the end of the week.

Either way, it poses no threat to land and remains unlikely to be tropical for the next five days.
