A 33-year-old man was seriously injured in a shooting at a gas station on the East Side

SAN ANTONIO, Texas “Things seem to have gone from bad to worse for a man at an East Side gas station late Sunday night.”

San Antonio police say the 33-year-old initially went to the business to wait for roadside assistance to help with a flat tire.

However, he was severely wounded in a strange shooting.

Police say the victim and the woman were sitting in their car in the parking lot of the Valero gas station, located in block 300 of S. WW White Road.

They say that after 23:30 another car came and someone came out.

Police say the victim then went to the man and was shot, injuring his chest and shoulder.

He was in critical condition as he left for the hospital by ambulance, police said.

The man who shot him has moved away.
