A 20-year-old woman was killed after a head-on collision with a pole on the East Side, police said.

San Antonio – According to San Antonio police, a 20-year-old woman died after hitting a vehicle head-on with a pole on the east side.

The crash occurred on Sunday afternoon at 200 blocks on Candler Street.

Officials said she was driving the car alone when she hit the pole head-on. Witnesses told police that she had come out of the car after the crash but had fallen.

At that time, EMS created a scene and started working on her. However, she succumbed to an injury and was sentenced to death. Her identity has not yet been disclosed.

The cause of the crash was unknown at this time and no other vehicle was involved.
