When returning to society, it is important to note that everyone has a different level of comfort. Adapting to new ways of life and sometimes making all these decisions on the fly can increase anxiety, fear and stress. The “good” and “evil” of society are now very vague. Self-compassion is one of the greatest strategies used when navigating the constant changes in the coronavirus pandemic. I didn’t understand what self-sympathy was until I read Dr. Kristin Neff’s book, Self-Compassion: The Proven Power of Being Kind to Me. I thought it was related to self-esteem, but it’s very different. Self-esteem is the value we place in ourselves and our values, but self-sympathy is the kindness and understanding in the face of personal failure.

I was angry with negative thoughts about my challenge. “I can’t believe you have anxiety. Why can’t you deal with this simple situation?” Self-compassion takes negative thoughts about things you can’t control (such as anxiety disorders). , “I’m fine with what I choose. It doesn’t have to be what others choose.”

We do not have all the answers. For the past year and a half, we definitely didn’t have all the answers. Self-compassion allows our body and mind to get out of confusion. By taking a break, you can see who you are, that is, you are a defective person, decide whether it is good or bad, and live with it.


Lessons learned: Self-compassion taught me about my decisions during this post-quarantine period. I practice to be cognitively aware of what I say to myself on a daily basis. It prevented me from judging myself and judging others.

Anxiety, fear, and stress can give you judgment because they make you feel like you can control something that you can’t control. It is unhealthy and causes hostility and division, not to mention putting more stress on your body.

As a person living with social anxiety and panic disorder, the speed of resumption of society after quarantine was terrifying to me. At first I spent a lot of time using self-talk, telling myself that going to restaurants, meeting friends, and traveling might be reluctant. Like many of us, I’m relearning how to live my life again. So I’m working on giving myself elegance when navigating this period.


Lessons learned: When I speak positively to myself, it shifts to my communication with others. By avoiding the discomfort of eating in a busy restaurant, you will have a better understanding of where others are coming from during this time.

Empower yourself with the words you say to yourself in a positive way. Not everyone is always there to lift you, so be encouraged for yourself. I was waiting for my life and wanted others to tell me that I would be okay.

I realized that my thinking process and words really affect my mental health. Be kind to yourself so that you can extend that kindness to others.

In a world where you are still trying to understand yourself, you need to continue to take care of yourself. Many people have been working on self-care last year, which is very beautiful, but we can’t forget the moment of self-care as our lives have returned to full speed. By focusing on self-care, you may not want to increase your busy schedule to a pre-pandemic location.


Lessons learned: If you continue to feel better, such as taking a bath or reading a book, you will have a peaceful time when you need to recharge.As long as you continue to self-care on your schedule, whatever you decide to be best for you is great

In a basic sense, self-regulation is the management of thoughts and actions while perusing long-term goals. When it comes to resuming society, educate yourself on how to do it properly by looking for reliable sources, not social media feeds. By using reputable sources, you will feel more confident and comfortable with your choices.

Lessons learned: If you find an abnormal level of anxiety or stress (perhaps struggling to get out of bed or struggling to do your daily work comfortably), don’t be afraid to ask for help Please give me.
