The Huntington Library, Museums and Botanical Gardens are the great botanical gardens in Southern California. (As big and formidable as its name.) This is a place for extensive research in the library and art appreciation in the museum, and visitors are “young” by Kehin Dewiley from LA, Huntington’s new committee. You can see “Portrait of a Gentleman” (artist who painted the famous portrait of President Barracobama), until January 3rd, in the same room as its inspiration, the iconic 18th century painting of Thomas Gainsborough ” The blue boy. ”
If you go, Huntington’s 130-acre gardens, an extraordinary collection of roses, authentic Chinese and Japanese gardens, Australian plants, Shakespeare plants, herbs, desert plants, jungles and areas dedicated to subtropical plants Plan a day devoted to wandering (almost you can hear Tarzan roaring somewhere in the towering, dripping trees) and, of course, the whimsical garden that fascinates the children. The food choices are diverse and very good. The Jade Court Café in the Chinese Garden serves a variety of dishes, as well as beer and wine. Near the entrance is a 1919 café, as well as a Red Car coffee shop offering takeaway coffee, ice cream cones, sandwiches and outdoor seating options. (The Rose Garden Tea Room will be closed for renovations until the winter of 2022.)
