An 18-year-old Texas gunman has shot dead 14 primary school children, a teacher, and seriously injured 13 with a border patrol after a barricade inside the building: The gunman also shot dead his grandmother before police killed her.
- Uvalde Memorial Hospital confirmed that two children had been brought dead upon arrival and that several others were being cared for after a shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde.
- An armed man allegedly shot at a primary school after exchanging gunfire with border patrol agents and barricading himself at the school, putting up a campus blockade.
- Prior to his arrest, the suspect exchanged gunfire with border patrol agencies before setting up a barricade at the school.
- Uvalde Memorial Hospital said they were “currently caring for several URGE students” and asked the families of the injured students to go to the hospital.
- On Tuesday evening, a shipowner escaped from Uvalde’s Robb Elementary School when all campuses and other schools in the district were blocked.

Fourteen children and a teacher have been killed by police who were shot dead by an 18-year-old man at a Texas elementary school.
Gov. Greg Abbott has confirmed that Robb killed 14 primary school students and a teacher at the 18-year-old Uvalde Institute in Salvador Roma.
Roma allegedly shot her grandmother, whose condition is still unknown, before she entered the school and then shot her, Abbott said.
In addition, thirteen children are being cared for in the Uvalde Memorial emergency room as well as a 45-year-old man who suffered a “drag”.
University Health San Antonio has confirmed that they have received a child whose condition is currently unknown and a 66-year-old woman in critical condition.
He was involved in a fire with the border patrol before the shooting and then entered the school and set up a barricade inside the school.
Police initially reported that he had been arrested before being confirmed dead.
Photos outside the scene show a truck that crashed outside the school, which, according to the governor of Rome, was abandoned before entering the school.
Worried parents were caught on the spot in desperate search of their children and a video of the chaotic scene showed police arriving at the school campus with guns in hand.

Uvalde Elementary School, with an enrollment of 600 students, is located 60 miles east of the Mexican border and 80 miles west of San Antonio.
