An unnamed man killed an 87-year-old man in Queens with a 9mm pistol with an extended magazine, police said.

NYPD Deputy Chief of Criminal Affairs Joseph Kenny said he believed the weapon was a “ghost gun” with the serial number removed.

“We didn’t find a serial number on the gun,” Kenny said.

“We’re trying to determine if it’s tainted or if it’s a ghost gun, which will be revealed in further investigation.”

The first shooting occurred around 11 a.m. Saturday in Brooklyn’s Cypress Hills neighborhood, where gunmen opened fire on a 21-year-old man, injuring him in the shoulder.

The moped driver then entered the borough of Queens and shot an 87-year-old man in the back at 11:30 a.m. near a nail salon in the Richmond Hill area.

Less than 10 minutes later, the suspect opened fire again on 134th Street, killing a man.

He shot and wounded a third victim at 11:35 a.m. on 126th Street and Hillside Avenue, leaving him critically injured after punching him in the face.

The shooter’s fourth and final victim was a 63-year-old man who was shot in the shoulder moments later.

The suspect was stopped by police near the Jamaica station on Sutphin Road shortly after 1pm. and 94th Street.

He was recognized after an image of the shooter was sent to every officer’s cell phone.

New York City Police Department Acting Commissioner Edward Cavan thanked the officers involved in apprehending the shooter and said the motive was unclear.

The suspect had previously been arrested once for a traffic violation.

“Firearms were recovered from Scooter, including a 9mm pistol and an extended magazine,” Cavan said.

“Considering the violence this person was attempting to perpetrate, I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to the men and women of the NYPD.”
